Abstract

Provided is a friction coupling device, a friction plate assembling method and a clamp, allowing a friction plate to engage with a drum external spline stamped with a recess on a specified tooth, wherein the projection generated on the recess does not hamper the movement of the friction plate. A driving plate (a friction plate 36) engaged with an external spline (24) forming a recess (30) on teeth (26a) circumferentially arranged at intervals possesses hypodontia parts (40) corresponding with the teeth (26a) and with teeth cut. The hypodontia part further extends outwards to form an inserting part (42). The disc part (21) of a drum corresponds with each hypodontia part (inserting part) to form a reference boss (44). When the notch (82) of a ring plate (81) is embedded with the reference boss through a clamp (80) and is located in the disc part, a guiding sheet (87) combining with the ring plate faces the teeth (26a). The cutting part and the guiding sheet correspond to drive the driving plate to embed into the drum, and the hypodontia parts (inserting parts) face the position of the teeth (26a). The teeth interfering with the projection part of the recess is provided with a notch, and thereby the driving plate moves smoothly.
