This method requires a built-in virtual machine platform and needs to start the file system of the virtual machine to read and restore data normally. The virtual machine platform needs to occupy additional space, and the file system of the virtual machine needs to occupy CPU and memory resources. The complicated process also makes the recovery efficiency extremely low

Abstract
The invention relates to a method for recovering an NTFS (New Technology File System) highly-compressed file in a VMware scenario. The method comprises the steps of 1) reading and parsing a VMDK (Virtual Machine Disk) file; 2) recognizing a file zone format; 3) reading a file attribute in an NTFS zone; 4) reading compressed data; 5) reorganizing the read compressed data; 6) decompressing a compressed unit; 7) writing the data in a designated file; 8) repeating the steps 4, 5, 6 and 7 to cyclically read and write till the read data is ended to realize the complete recovery of the file. Compared with the prior art, the method for recovering the NTFS highly-compressed file in the VMware scenario has the advantages that the NTFS highly-compressed file can be quickly and effectively recovered during file granular recovery after backup of a VMware virtual machine and the like.
Description
technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for recovering compressed files, in particular to a method for recovering NTFS advanced compressed files in a VMware scene. Background technique [0002] Servervirtualization has become one of the hot topics in the IT industry. At present, the leader in the servervirtualization application market is VMware, whose products occupy more than half of the market share. Its VMware ESX Servervirtualization product is its virtualization platform application management One of the main roles of VMware ESX Server is to isolate each virtual machine from server hardware and other virtual machines, ensuring that when a virtual machine crashes, it will not affect other virtual machines. Virtual machines will not leak data between each other, and applications can only communicate through configured network connections. VMware ESX Server encapsulates the virtual machine environment into a set of files, including virtual machine stor...
