Abstract

The invention provides a quality evaluation method for iris images. According to an algorithm, a pupil is located firstly through a connected domain analysis algorithm; then, lifting static wavelet decomposition is carried out on the left area and the right area of the pupil, and defocusing blurring images are removed by calculating Laplace energy of high-frequency coefficients of the two areas; finally, mean value gradients of the upper area of the pupil in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction are calculated, and images with shadows are removed by utilizing an SVM model.
