Embodiment Construction

[0039] figure 1 A system 1 for an environment sensing mechanism is shown, said system comprising a first receiver array S x , the first receiver array includes a first receiver S x1 and the second receiver S x2 . The wavefront W from the surrounding environment of the system 1 is incident on the receiver array S at an angle α x receiver S x1 and S x2 superior. If a planar wavefront W is assumed, then at the first receiver S x1 and reach the second receiver S x2 A path difference of 6 is obtained between the signal components of . Since the speed of sound is known or can be determined from an ascertainable quantity (e.g. when using a temperature sensor), if the signal / echo has been identified, for example, as an interfering sound by means of the technique described above, it can be detected by the receiver S x1,2 In combination with the phase difference of the signals, the magnitude of the angle α and thus the first direction information of the interfering sound source...

Abstract

A system for an environment sensing mechanism is presented that includes a first receiver array having a first receiver and a second receiver. The system further comprises an evaluation unit which is designed to evaluate a phase difference between the received signals received by means of the first receiver and the second receiver. Thus, first direction information of an interfering sound source causing the interfering sound contained in the received signal can be ascertained for the first receiver array. A sound component containing corresponding first directional information can be suppressed in the received signal.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a system for an environment sensing mechanism. In particular, the invention relates to a system for an ultrasound-based environment sensor system with improved evaluation robustness with respect to interfering sound sources. Background technique [0002] In the prior art, especially in the automotive industry, environment sensor systems are used to obtain information about the distance to surrounding objects. Most of these systems are based on the analytical processing of echoes received by system-based receivers. In order to generate echoes on surrounding objects, suitable signals are transmitted by the system into the system surroundings. From the transit times of the received echoes, it is possible to infer the distance of the corresponding surrounding object from the receiver. Interfering sound sources in the environment of the system can prevent or complicate echo detection. Impulse-shaped interfering noises and source...
