Problems solved by technology

A disadvantage of these handles is that the handle protrudes like a protrusion from the plane of the sliding door, whereby there is a risk of the user colliding with the handle
Additionally, the overall construction for interlocking and unlocking of sliding doors has proven to be too complex
Especially for very thin doors, which for example completely disappear into the wall channel in their closed position, the handles known from the prior art cannot be used or incorporated in the door due to their complexity
In other words, this means that known systems for interlocking and unlocking sliding doors exhibit certain dimensions, especially for very thin doors with a small door thickness (such as, for example, for glass doors) can not be used

[0037] The inventive system for interlocking and unlocking sliding doors 1 is figure 1 and figure 2 shown in . figure 1 The system is shown from a perspective in which the user is located in the inner area of the sliding door 1 . figure 2 The system is shown from a perspective in which the user is located in the outer area of the sliding door 1 . figure 1 and figure 2 The handle 10 is illustrated as part of a door fitting. The handle 10 is shown in a closed position 11 . The handle 10 is located within the sliding door 1 , wherein the handle 10 is arranged to be mounted substantially flush on the door 1 . On the inside, the handle 10 has a knob 16 which is located in a knob recess 24 of the handle 10 . The handle 10 can be manually moved clockwise from a closed position 11 to an open position, which is not explicitly shown.

Abstract

A system for interlocking and unlocking a sliding door includes a handle, attachable flush-mountably to the sliding door. The handle has an electro-mechanical locking mechanism attachable in a wall-mount manner, and having a movable locking element movable between a protracted locking position and a retracted releasing position, and an electronic drive, incorporated into the locking mechanism and in operative connection with the locking element. The handle is manually movable between an opening position and a closing position, the handle and the locking mechanism cooperate such that, in the locking position of the locking element and in the closing position of the handle, movement of the sliding door from a closed location in the direction of an opening location can be blocked and, in the opening position of the handle, movement of the sliding door can be effected from the closed location in the direction of the opening location.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a system for interlocking and unlocking sliding doors. Background technique [0002] Sliding doors are known in the prior art which are equipped with a handle in order to interlock or unlock the sliding door by moving the handle. A disadvantage of these handles is that the handle protrudes like a protrusion from the plane of the sliding door, whereby there is a risk of the user colliding with the handle. In addition, the overall construction for interlocking and unlocking of sliding doors has proven to be too complex. Especially for very thin doors, which for example completely disappear into the wall channel in their closed position, the handles known from the prior art cannot be used or incorporated in the door due to their complexity. In other words, this means that known systems for interlocking and unlocking sliding doors exhibit certain dimensions, especially for very thin doors with a small door thickness (such...
