A deformable wheel mechanism is composed of a hub portion, a chain wheel set and rotating mechanisms. An axle shaft in the hub portion is connected with a flange fixed on a hub through splines to provide power for movement of the whole deformable wheel. A deformable sleeve hollowly sleeves the axle shaft and is connected with a driving chain wheel of the chain wheel set through the spline. Chain wheels of the chain wheel set are positioned through corresponding unthreaded holes in a web. The rotating mechanisms are evenly disposed on the inside of the hub and corresponding to driven chain wheels. The hub is the main support, and tire blocks of the rotating mechanisms bear the ground acting force and transmit the same to the hub. As an unconventional walking mechanism, the deformable wheel mechanism is safe and reliable, capable of mounting and adjusting and convenient to operate and has the advantages that by changing form of the wheels, acting force between the wheels and the deep and soft grounds is increased to improve driving force to the vehicle by the ground, thus driving performance of the vehicle on the conventional ground is guaranteed, and meanwhile, technical requirement on the vehicle to run on the deep and soft ground is increased.
