Abstract

The invention relates to a method for identifying a person by means of an identification document in an identification system with spatially distributed identification control points. The method has the following steps: detecting (601) an identification data item by means of the identification document using a first identification control point; generating (603) a reference identification feature of the person; assigning (604) the reference identification feature to the detected identification data item; detecting (605) an identification feature of the person using a second identification control point; and displaying (607) the detected identification data item using the second identification control point if the detected identification feature matches the reference identification feature.
