The cooling device comprises a water gathering container, wherein the water gathering container is positioned at an evaporator of the air conditioner and is used for collecting condensed water produced by the evaporator; the cooling device further comprises a heat dissipater and a water drain mechanism; the heat dissipater is provided with a heat dissipation hole; the water inlet of the heat dissipation hole is connected with the water gathering container through the water drain mechanism; the water drain mechanism guides the condensed water in the water gathering container into the heat dissipation hole to cool the heat dissipater; the heat dissipater is used for cooling an outer unit controller of the air conditioner. By use of the characteristics of large specific heat capacity of the condensed water and lower temperature, the heat dissipater is cooled; waste of the condensed water is avoided, and reasonable application of the condensed water produced in an air conditioner running process is finally realized; the problem that an existing air conditioner cannot realize reasonable application of energy due to the waste of energy is effectively solved.
