Abstract

The present invention suggests a data input device comprising: an input unit including at least one selection unit for enabling an input to be executed in response to a selection by a finger; and a sensing unit having at least one sensing means for, in response to the selection of a predetermined position of the input unit, sensing the selection and generating an input signal. The data input device is provided to perform an input of data allocated to an input value that is set for the input signal. The present invention has the advantage that the input of various data can be readily and rapidly performed due to the structure of the selection unit, which is provided in a simple single form, so that one finger can be positioned thereon and the selection unit can respond to the selection of the finger, and that the input of the data is performed by an intuitive selecting motion of the finger for selecting a reference position, one side of the reference position or the other side of the reference position on the selection unit.
