According to the method, total content or partial pages of a desktop demonstration document assigned by a user are associated into an on-line demonstration document which is edited currently, so as to form a new on-line demonstration document in a hierarchical tree-shaped structure. The method comprises the following steps: designating a main document in a client browser, adding total or part of the desktop demonstration document as a sub-document at a designated position in the main document, and generating the new on-line demonstration document in the hierarchical tree-shaped structure by editing and integration.
