Abstract

The present invention relates to methods, apparatus, systems and computer program products for discovering nearby devices. To facilitate the discovery of nearby (i.e. proximity) devices, upon receipt of a trigger signal (110), i.e., a signal related to a user action, the proximity of other devices is determined and a proximity fingerprint is formed from this information (120), the proximity The fingerprints are stored, for example, in a fingerprint database (130). When a change in the proximity information of the device is detected, the proximity fingerprint is accessed and the fingerprint is searched in the current proximity information of the user device.
