Abstract

This current sensor (16) is a Rogowski coil for measuring a current flowing in an electrical conductor. The current sensor includes a main winding (22) having two ends (42, 44), a closing mechanism (20) suitable for connecting an end (42) at the other end (44). The locking mechanism is movable with respect to one end (44) between a closed position and an open position. The two ends (42, 44) are in the closed position of the closing mechanism, disposed along a longitudinal axis (X) of the closure mechanism (20) and spaced from each other along the longitudinal axis (X). The sensor further comprises a secondary winding (32) disposed between the ends (42, 44) of the main winding (22) in the closed position of the closing mechanism (20). The secondary winding (32) comprises a plurality of coils offset from each other relative to the longitudinal axis (X).

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a current sensor with a Rogowski coil and a method for producing such a sensor. Background technique [0002] A current sensor with a Rogowski coil can be positioned around an electrical conductor and can measure the current flowing in such an electrical conductor. Known current sensors with Rogowski coils include a main coil positioned around an electrical conductor. According to Ampere's law and Faraday's law, if the main coil forms a closed loop around the conductor, it gives back a signal proportional to the derivative of the current flowing in the electrical conductor. [0003] One of the benefits of a current sensor with a Rogowski coil is that it includes a closure mechanism capable of connecting the two ends of the main coil. More specifically, the closing mechanism is respectively movable relative to one of the ends between a closed position and an open position, wherein the main coil and the closing mechanism respec...
