Abstract

The invention discloses a method for planting evergreen rhododendron in alkaline soil areas and belongs to the technical field of flower planting. The method includes the steps of 1), digging a drainage ditch 50-100cm in depth in the range 200cm away from a rhododendron planting hole; 2), digging the planting hole deeply according to the height of a rhododendron seedling to enable the hole depth to be 20cm greater than the hole diameter, selecting a root control container with the diameter identical or slightly smaller than that of the planting hole and removing the bottom of the container, downwardly wrapping a plastic film on the position 20cm away from the upper edge of the container, and clamping the film in the planting hole to enable the upper edge of the container to be 20cm higher than the ground; 3), sequentially paving stones about 5cm in diameter, pebbles about 2cm in diameter and rough sand from top to bottom with the total thickness ranging from 50cm to 70cm; 4), fixedly planting the rhododendron with a soil ball with improved soil in the planting hole and the root control container, compacting the soil and enabling the soil layer in the container to be 20cm higher than the ground in during planting.
