Abstract

Provided are a wireless communication method and a wireless terminal. The method comprises: after a wireless terminal supporting a first RAT and a second RAT establishes a connection with a second RAT network, receiving, by the wireless terminal, a first message sent by the second RAT network, wherein the first message comprises a content used for querying a second RAT capability of the wireless terminal; and sending, by the wireless terminal, a second message to the second RAT network, wherein the second message is used for indicating the second RAT capability of the wireless terminal and indicating that the wireless terminal does not support the first RAT. Since the wireless terminal reports to the second RAT network that the wireless terminal does not support the first RAT, the second RAT network will not indicate for the wireless terminal to transform into the first RAT. Therefore, the wireless terminal can work at the second RAT for a long time, thereby reducing the number of transformations of the wireless terminal between the first RAT and the second RAT, reducing the network burden, and improving the user experience.
