[0032] review

[0033] The present disclosure relates to assessing and quantifying the quality of medical images. In one embodiment, the present disclosure describes systems and methods for assessing image quality for the purpose of predicting or analyzing the accuracy and performance of medical imaging simulations and modeling. In one embodiment, a method for assessing medical image quality comprises: receiving image data and possibly patient information; performing assessment of image quality at a local and / or global level by means of computer automation, user guidance, or a combination ; and generating an image quality metric regionally (eg, for blood vessels) or for the entire dataset or datasets. In one embodiment,...

Abstract

Systems and methods for assessing the quality of medical images of at least a portion of a patient's anatomy using a computer system are disclosed. A method includes: receiving one or more images of at least a portion of the patient's anatomy; using a processor of the computer system to determine one or more image attributes of the received images; using a processor of the computer system A processor performs anatomical positioning or modeling of at least a portion of the patient's anatomy based on the received images; obtaining an anatomical feature associated with the patient's anatomy based on the anatomical positioning or modeling identification of one or more image properties; and calculating an image quality score based on the one or more image properties and the one or more image properties using a processor of the computer system.

Description

[0001] describe [0002] priority [0003] This application claims priority to U.S. Application No. 14 / 163,589, filed January 24, 2014, which claims the benefit of priority of U.S. Provisional Application No. 61 / 793,162, filed March 15, 2013 rights, each of which is incorporated by reference in its entirety. technical field [0004] Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods and systems for assessing medical image quality, and more particularly, to methods and systems for assessing medical image quality with respect to patient-specific modeling of anatomy and / or blood flow. Background technique [0005] Medical imaging is an important technique used to obtain anatomical and physiological data about a patient's body, organ, tissue or part thereof for clinical diagnosis and treatment planning. Medical imaging includes, but is not limited to, radiography, computerized tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), fluoroscopy, single photon emission computeri...
