A preparation method of the washable re-dispersible latex powder includes the steps that the protective colloid powder and water are heated inside a reaction kettle according to the proportion of 36:350 to form adhesive through blending; then the adhesive is mixed with the polymer modified latex, and the functional additives are added into the mixture to be stirred to form uniform latex; then the latex is conveyed into drying equipment and atomized through a high-speed centrifugal atomizer, part of anti-caking agents are added to prevent adhesion, and the water-resistant re-dispersible latex powder finished product is obtained through temperature decreasing and separating. By the adoption of the method, the water-resistant performance of the re-dispersible latex powder can be effectively improved, the requirements for high performance and environmental friendliness of building mortar are met, and application of the latex powder to dry powder building mortar and special waterproof materials is promoted.
