Abstract

The invention discloses a 3D video transmission method based on software-defined networking energy consumption perception. The method comprises: 1) a source coding end codes 3D video to be transmitted by adopting a scalable 3D video code to generate code stream with scalable code rate, wherein the code stream comprises depth data code stream and 2D video code stream; 2) a controller determines the quantity of the 2D video code stream and the depth data code stream to be transmitted according to the available bandwidth of a network, wherein the sum of the quantity of the 2D video code stream and the depth data code stream is np; then the controller selects available transmission paths meeting the bandwidth requirement from the network according to the bandwidth obtained by coding in step 1), and selects a transmission path with optimal energy consumption for each code stream from the available transmission paths to obtain a group of transmission paths; and 3) transmitting the code stream to be transmitted to a destination end according to the group of transmission paths.
