The method includes the steps that the logging information and core information of a target layer section are collected; the organic carbon content, the clay content, the formation pressure coefficient and the gas content of the target layer section shale are determined according to the logging information and core information; the effective thickness of target layer section shale stratum is determined according to the organic carbon content; the buried depth of the shale stratum is determined according to the effective thickness; the weighted values corresponding to the organic carbon content, the clay content, the formation pressure coefficient and the total gas content, the effective thickness and the buried depth are determined respectively according to prestored shale gas well data and gas pool deliverability; the quality of a shale gas reservoir is evaluated according to the weight values, the organic carbon content, the clay content, the formation pressure coefficient, the total gas content, the effective thickness and the buried depth.
