The measuring box is installed below a bottom plate on the upstream of the outlet cross section of a water channel. The weighing instrument is installed above the measuring box. The bottom of the weighing instrument is higher than the horizontal plane of the water channel. The flow guiding plate horizontally covers the top end of the measuring box and is flushed to the upper surface of the bottom plate of the water channel. The sand collecting basket is hung on the portion, below the flow guiding plate, in the measuring box through the hoisting rope.
