Abstract

The invention provides a seismic data velocity model establishing method and device. The method includes the following steps that: the objective function of a seismic data velocity model is determined; the gradient of the objective function is calculated based on horizon constraint; and the objective function is adjusted according to the calculated gradient, so that a post-adjustment velocity model can be obtained. According to the method provided by the embodiment of the invention, the horizon constraint is introduced in the computation of the gradient of the objective function, namely, constraint conditions are added, and therefore, the problem of multiplicity of solution in a wave equation-based modeling method in the prior art can be solved; and the gradient is determined based on the introduction of the horizon constraint, so that the finally-determined velocity model can contain horizon information, and thus, the obtained velocity model more accords with a geological structure.
