The method comprises the five steps of: step 1: making statistics on daily mortality of three major diseases with ICD codes of A00-R99, I00-I99 and J00-J99; step 2, making a scatter diagram by taking date as horizontal coordinates and mortality as longitudinal coordinates; step 3: comparing the scatter diagram with a standard death data scatter diagram in change trend of the diagram, wherein in the standard death data scatter diagram, the mortality is high in winter and low in summer, and the standard death data scatter diagram has a remarkable seasonal change trend; step 4: making an abnormal data point judgment according to a data trend; and step 5: making a final data quality judgment in combination with original data. The method is scientific in concept, simple in calculation, high in reliability and high in universality. The method has very high application values in judgment of death cause data quality, and has practical application prospects in popularization of practical work of public hygiene and environment health.
