A radix stemonae traditional Chinese medicine hand sanitizer is prepared from the following components in percentage by weight: 1-5 percent of artemisia argyi extract, 1-5 percent of radix sophorae flavescentis extract, 1-5 percent of borneol extract, 5-10 percent of radix stemonae extract, 1-5 percent of lithospermum extract, 1-5 percent of radix paeoniae alba extract, 5 percent-10 percent of sodium laureth sulfate, 5 percent-10 percent of cocamidopropyl betaine, 0.5-3 percent of mint oil, 0.5-3 percent of olive oil, 1-5 percent of glycerinum and the balance of deionized water. A preparation method comprises: preparation of the artemisia argyi extract, preparation of the radix sophorae flavescentis extract, preparation of the radix stemonae extract, preparation of the lithospermum extract, preparation of the radix paeoniae alba extract, preparation of oil phase, preparation of water phase and preparation of a sanitizer.
