Abstract

Embodiments of the invention provide a power control device, network side equipment, user equipment and a power control method, and relate to the technical field of network communication. The power control method comprises obtaining a data transmission time period and a silence time period of the user equipment (UE), and receiving data sent, through adoption of first power, by the UE on a control channel in the silence time period, wherein the first power is less than second power adopted by the UE to sent data on the control channel in the data transmission time period. The problems of high power consumption and the small cell capacitity of the UE on the control channel are solved. The effect that power consumption of the UE on an uplink control channel in the silence time period can be reduced is achieved, and the cell capacity is improved.
