Abstract

The invention discloses an intelligent control system and method for a drum-type steel ball quenching device. The intelligent control system comprises a flow sensor, a flow electromagnetic valve, a water temperature sensor, an entering ball counter, an entering ball intelligent switch, a variable frequency control motor, a water level sensor, a data acquisition card, a CPU microprocessor and a human-computer interaction display screen, wherein the influent-effluent water flow sensor is mounted at a water inlet-outlet of a water tank; the water temperature sensor and the water level sensor are mounted in the water tank; the steel ball particle counter is mounted on an entering ball chute; and an in-out ball infrared temperature sensor is mounted beside an out ball chute. According to the intelligent control system, the sensors and the counter measure real-time data, the data is collected to the CPU microprocessor for analysis and processing through the data acquisition card, and the result is displayed on the human-computer interaction display screen, so that the staff can conveniently perform setting operation; and then, an execution action command is transmitted to the variable frequency control motor, the influent-effluent water flow electromagnetic valve and an entering ball chute intelligent switch, so that the rotation speed of the drum-type quenching device, the influent-effluent water flow of the water tank, and the number of entering balls are accurately controlled, the quenching efficiency of the device, the quenching quality and the automation level are improved.
