Abstract

The method and apparatus are applied to a radar speed measuring system. The method comprises: monitoring data sent by a radar speed measuring device are received and vehicle speed information of a measured vehicle is obtained based on the monitoring data; a captured image, sent by a low-illuminance capturing device, of the measured vehicle is received; according to the captured image of the measured vehicle, feature information of the measured vehicle is obtained; and the vehicle speed information of the measured vehicle, the captured image of the measured vehicle, and the feature information of the measured vehicle are reported to a monitoring center. According to the method and apparatus, evidence data can be provided for a traffic offence behavior, especially to an over-speed behavior, of a driving vehicle at a road segment with insufficient natural illumination intensity, like a tunnel.
