The fertilizer consists of the following raw materials: composite fertilizer, humic acid, citric acid, urea formaldehyde, chlorpyrifos and clothianidin. A preparation methods is as below: adding humic acid, citric acid and urea formaldehyde into a reaction kettle, and adding water to react, so as to obtain a urea-formaldehyde slow-release solution; adding chlorpyrifos and clothianidin into the urea formaldehyde slow-release solution, stirring and mixing evenly to obtain a urea formaldehyde pesticide mixed solution; adding a composite fertilizer feedstock into a granulator, conducting spray granulation by using the urea formaldehyde pesticide mixed solution obtained in step 1.2, so as to prepare a slow-release insecticide-fertilizer containing urea formaldehyde. The invention has the advantages of extending fertilizer period, improving utilization rate, achieving one time fertilization in agriculture, eliminating the step of dressing; and the invention also saves fertilizer and resources and reduces environmental pollution.
