The lighting apparatus (1) comprises at least one primary light source (2) for generating primary light (P), a reflector (7-9) having two spaced-apart focal spots (BF1, BF2), a guiding optical unit (3) disposed downstream of the at least one primary light source (2) and serving for guiding the primary light (P) to a first focal spot (BF1) of the reflector (7-9), and a conversion device (10-16) for at least partly converting the primary light (P) into secondary light (S) having a different wavelength which is situated at the second focal spot (BF2), wherein the reflector (7-9) has a first reflective partial region (8), to which the two focal spots (BF1, BF2) are assigned, and a second reflective partial region (9), which is a partial region retroreflective for the second focal spot (BF2), and wherein the primary light (P) emitted by the at least one primary light source (2) is incident on the first partial region (8).
