The method comprises the steps of acquiring accumulated flow of a data message which corresponds with each rate for aiming at each user; and performing online charging according to the preset rate and the accumulated flow of the data message that corresponds with each rate. According to the method of the invention, online charging is performed through the rate which is preset by an OpenFlow switch for realizing online charging and the accumulated flow of the data message that corresponds with each rate, and online charging of the EPC network is realized on condition that the NFV is combined with SDN. Furthermore, through setting the rate in a service list and adding a flow list into the service list of the corresponding rate, online charging is realized.
