Abstract

The various disclosed embodiments include methods, systems, and computer-readable media for Named Data Network (NDN) inter-domain / intra-domain mobility. A complete decoupling of identity and addressing spaces is established. This provides a separation of forwarding and control, allowing multiple decision-based routing using SDN principles and decision-based global resolution. In one embodiment, the decoupling of identifying the slave location is achieved through a variable forwarding label field in the header which may have node / domain / global scope. The content routing / mobility provided by the present disclosure is highly flexible in its handling. The present disclosure also provides services for mobility as part of the namespace.
