The method comprises the steps that the shape elements of each page of a PPT file are obtained; whether the shape elements are multimedia play controls is judged; if the judgment result is yes, the path of the corresponding multimedia resource of the shape elements is obtained; whether the path is a local path is judged; if the judgment result is yes, the corresponding multimedia resource of the shape elements is copied to a preset temporary file folder; a configuration file is generated in the temporary file folder; a link list is established according to the name of the multimedia resource and the corresponding page in the PPT file and the path of the temporary file folder and saved in the configuration file; and the temporary file folder is packed so that a compressed file is obtained. The situation that the multimedia resource is lost in the copy or transfer process of the PPT file and cannot be played can be avoided; and the size of occupation of the multimedia resource disk can be effectively reduced so that copying and transferring are facilitated.
