When the parking charging device detects that the vehicle leaves the parking space, a second current time is acquired. A first current time, the second current time and the vehicle identification information are uploaded to a server to calculate a parking fee. The parking fee is sent to a user terminal, so that the user terminal pays the parking fee online. According to the method, manual charging of an administrator is eliminated; a special toll set in the parking lot is not needed; labor cost is saved; and traffic congestion caused by vehicle queuing and paying in the parking lot is avoided.
