The invention provides a battery charging device and methods. The multiple methods, the device and the system are designed for the application of battery charging. According one or more than one embodiment of the invention, the methods are performed through following steps: modulating charging current for battery charging, and setting the frequency of the modulated charging current; and estimating the temperature of the battery based on the impedance displayed by the battery in the power charging process of the modulated charging current to the battery. In the multiple embodiments of the invention, the power charging speed can be controlled based on the estimated temperature.
