Embodiment Construction

[0026] FIG. 1 represents a cross-section of a solar heat absorbing element (module) 100 .

[0027] The element 100 includes a cover glass 110 and a direct-flow absorber 120 .

[0028] Glass 110 covers the absorber 120 from mechanical damage, insects and dust.

[0029] Glass 110 may be, for example, highly transparent anti-reflective safety glass that allows solar radiation to pass to absorber 120 and reduces heat loss from absorber 120 .

[0030] The absorber 120 is configured to absorb solar radiation.

[0031] The absorber 120 comprises at least one heat transfer tube 126 forming a continuous heat transfer channel with an inlet 127a and an outlet 127b. The channels are configured to circulate a heat transfer fluid, such as water, air or antifreeze, within the absorbent body 120 .

[0032] The inlet 127a and outlet 127b may be connected to an external device, such as the piping of the solar thermal collector 190 or an adapter device thereof.

[0033] The absorber 120 havi...

Abstract

A solar thermal collector includes a solar thermal absorber element (100) which includes a cover glass (11), a direct-flow absorber (120), a fore thermoplastic sealing (h1) for attaching the cover glass and absorber to each other leaving a distance (h1) therebetween, and a fore sealed space (130), formed by the cover glass, absorber, and fore sealing. The fore space is filled up with a first low thermal conductive gas (136). The element further includes a back insulation part, a back thermoplastic sealing for attaching the insulation part and the absorber to each other leaving a distance (h2) therebetween, and a back sealed space, formed by the insulation part, absorber, and back sealing. The back space is filled up with a second low thermal conductive gas (176). The element may include a TPS-direct-flow absorber-glass element, wherein the back glass insulation part is hermetically sealed with the TPS sealing and the back space is filled with the second gas.

Description

technical field [0001] The application generally relates to solar heat absorbing elements. Background technique [0002] Sand, salt and insects that intrude along the flowing air inside the structure of the solar thermal collector cause damage that reduces the lifetime and efficiency of the collector. [0003] To eliminate these damages, a thermoplastic spacer (TPS) sealed absorber module has been developed, wherein the cover glass is sealed to the absorber by the TPS. [0004] The TPS sealed modules protect the absorber by preventing unwanted sand, salt and insect intrusion inside the absorbing element. [0005] However, even if the absorbing modules are TPS-sealed modules, collectors have always been expensive to manufacture because the manufacturing steps in series production include extensive manual work when adding thermal insulation and manually fitting the modules into the collector frame. Contents of the invention [0006] An object of the invention is to elimina...
