Abstract

The present invention provides a display data compression method. The method comprises: providing a pixel data line; determining whether there is a pixel value set in the pixel data, wherein the pixel value set includes continuously arranged pixel values consisting of a first pixel value, and the differences between each pixel value located behind the first pixel value in the pixel value set and the first pixel value are not larger than a first threshold; if there is the pixel value set, performing quantification of the sum of the differences between each pixel value set and the first pixel value, and obtaining a quantification value; determining whether the quantification value is larger than a second threshold or not; and if the threshold value is not larger than the second threshold, setting each pixel value as the first pixel value. The display data compression method and the display data processing system can effectively compress the pixel data so as to improve the display data sending/receiving speed and reduce the read/write delay.
