Embodiment Construction

[0027] figure 1 An open view of an exemplary embodiment of a vehicle door 100 according to the invention is shown. This allows access to the inner workings of the vehicle door 100 , and thus the two fastening locations 112 and 114 can be seen. The door impact beam 10 is here fastened via its two fastening parts 12 and 14 to the two fastening connection locations 112 and 114 . Such fastening may be provided, for example, by rivets, screws or by welded joints.

[0028] In this embodiment, the door impact beam 10 extends from the top left side to the bottom right side, wherein, figure 1 The driving direction for the relevant vehicle in is from right to left.

[0029] especially in figure 2 with image 3 The configuration according to the invention of the door impact beam 10 is shown in FIG. 2 , which show a cross-section through the associated profiled part 20 and hollow profile 30 provided. It can be easily seen here that the hollow profile 30 is configured with two subst...

Abstract

A door impact beam (10) for a door (100) of a motor vehicle includes a first fastening portion (112) configured to be fastened to a first fastening intersection (12) of the door and a second fastening portion (114) configured to be fastened to a second fastening intersection of the door. A profiled portion (20) extends between the first fastening portion and the second fastening portion. The profiled portion is designed at least in sections as a hollow profile (30) with two side walls (32) disposed opposite to each other and two connecting walls (34) disposed opposite to each other which connect the side walls to each other. The connecting walls have an outwardly directed convex curvature.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a door impact beam for a motor vehicle door and to a corresponding motor vehicle door. Background technique [0002] It is known per se that so-called door impact beams are used in the doors of motor vehicles in order to be able to appropriately provide greater stabilization in the event of a crash. Known vehicles are thus able to provide so-called side impact protection in the door, for example by means of such a profiled part of the door impact beam. Profiles of this type are distinguished in that they provide mechanical stabilization in the event of forces in the form of an impact on the side of the vehicle door. [0003] The disadvantage is that with the known door impact beams, the crash behavior is predictable, but difficult. There is a corresponding need to provide a high overall mechanical stability associated with such heavy door impact beams in order to reliably avoid tearing or bending of the profiled parts. Cont...
