Benefits of technology

By comparing different ways of evaluating the performance level of an electric power system's components before they have been put into service or operated at their full capacity, we found out how well these parts were able to maintain long term healthy function even if some had gone bad during operations. Additionally, our proposed solution helps predict any possible failures shortly afterwards without having them fixed permanently. Overall, this technology provides valuable benefits such as improved efficiency, reduced environmental impact, better management control, enhanced equipment reliability, increased productivity, and cost savings associated therewith.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relating to improving the performance and lifespan of transferectors used for electricity transmission systems involves determining if there needs to be any changes made during their life span without causing damage themselves. Existing methods involve scheduling routine checks based on fixed schedule cycles, leading to wasted time and materials resource while still being unable to accurately evaluate individual components' healthiness before performing more frequent inspections.

Embodiment

[0028] Take the 408316 transformer of Tianshengqiao Converter Station of Yunnan Power Grid (model: EFPH8554; rated capacity: 354 / 177 / 177MVA (line / wye / delta); rated voltage: Number of phases: single phase) as an example, the transformer quality state evaluation method provided by the present invention will be described.

[0029] On July 18, 2004, during routine chromatographic analysis of transformer insulating oil, total hydrocarbons (8390.32×10-6μL / L), hydrogen (2546.19×10-6μL / L), acetylene (28.23×10-6μL / L) were found The contents were far greater than the attention value stipulated in the regulations. Afterwards, several sampling tests were carried out, and it was found that the chromatographic data had a further increasing trend. After a comprehensive analysis of the chromatographic data, it was considered that if the operation continued, a major accident would occur, so it was decided to immediately withdraw from the operation for repair. Considering that the equipment ...

Abstract

The invention discloses a method for evaluating the quality state of a transformer. The method comprises: obtaining a quality cardinal number B of a transformer; determining whether there is a field maintenance record when the transformer runs to a current state, and if yes, evaluating the quality state after the field maintenance according to the field maintenance record and then evaluating the current quality state of the transformer; if not, acquiring an aging parameter F of the current quality state; evaluating the current quality state of the transformer according to the aging parameter F; and determining the quality risk level of the transformer according to the current quality state. Compared with a conventional planned maintenance method, the method evaluates the quality state after the transformer is subjected to field maintenance every time, and then evaluates the quality of each transformer after the transformer operates for a period of time, creates respective overhaul plans accordingly so that each transformer can be timely maintained. The quality state after the maintenance is the reference state so as to improve operational safety.
