The monitoring method comprises the steps that air data are collected according to the preset time period; the air data are analyzed according to the preset air detection standard, and air quality indexes are obtained; and air monitoring information comprising the collecting areas and the collecting time of the air data as well as the air quality indexes is sent to a cloud server so that the air quality of one or more target areas can be determined by the cloud server according to the air monitoring information uploaded by the multiple air conditioners.
