Abstract

The invention discloses a detector which comprises a cathode plate, a porous plate, anode plates, a first ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) chip, a second ASIC chip, and an electronic processor. The cathode plate is used for incidence of X-rays. The X-rays hit a working gas to produce ionization, positive ions move to the cathode plate under the effect of electric field, and electrons move to the porous plate under the effect of electric field. Electrons after avalanche amplification hit the anode plates. The anode plates consist of a first anode plate which has a first signal array and a second anode plate which has a second signal array. The first ASIC chip detects a first signal generated by the first anode plate when the electrons hit the first anode plate. The second ASIC chip detects a second signal generated by the second anode plate when the electrons hit the second anode plate. The electronic processor gets the position where the electrons hit the first anode plate or the second anode plate according to the first signal or the second signal. According to the detector of the invention, two different anode plates are used to realize electronic position detection of different precision.
