Abstract

The invention provides an arcless DC circuit breaker and a using method thereof. The circuit breaker adopts a mode of combining magnetic induction transfer and resistor current limiting. The circuit breaker comprises a main current circuit and a transfer current circuit; the transfer current circuit has a bridge structure, a group of one-way modules with a breaking function is used for realizing two-way breaking of the current, and compared with the existing structure, the use amount of breakable devices can be reduced half. Through controlling the action time sequence of a triggering gap, a high-speed switch and a power semiconductor, arcless opening of a fast switch of the main current circuit is realized, and the breaking ability of the circuit breaker is improved significantly. A current limiting module circuit inside the transfer current circuit is used for quickly limiting the short circuit fault current, the parallel group number of wholly-controlled devices of the breaking module circuit can be reduced. Compared with the existing circuit breaker structure, the use amount of breakable devices can be reduced greatly, and the cost of the circuit breaker is reduced significantly.
