Abstract

The invention discloses a systematic evaluation method of lily resource powder characteristics and application thereof, and relates to the research field of lily reproductive biology and crossbreeding. The method comprises the following steps: (1) observing and counting single flower anther number of the lily resource; (2) obtaining anther of a sample to be measured and observing whether anther dehiscence happens; (3) measuring length, width and thickness of the anther and calculating anther size; (4) measuring pollen content of the anther and pollen content of a single flower; (5) calculating pollen content of the anther per unit volume according to the pollen content of the anther and anther size; and (6) determining apparent pollen quantity and pollen pollution to petals during the lily source powder growing period. A systematic evaluation method of lily resource powder characteristics is established in the invention. The invention lays an importation foundation for evaluation of lily resource powder characteristics, the research on reproductive development mechanism of powder quantity difference and breeding of pollen pollution-free lily new-variety.
