Problems solved by technology

[0005] The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is how to solve the problem that many interactive applications are currently dedicated to realistic rendering, but the application's requirements for frame rate often make it impossible for graphics hardware to achieve realistic rendering of certain effects under the condition of guaranteed speed. That is, how to realize the refraction effect and realize the drawing of global illumination

Abstract

The invention discloses a simulated refraction and global illumination-based 3D model rendering method and system. The method comprises the steps of performing rasterization processing on an image to obtain basic eigenvalues of each pixel point: {an incident direction V, a first refraction position P1 of a hit surface, and a normal vector N1 of a surface on which a P1 point is located}; obtaining a first refraction light ray direction T1 according to the basic eigenvalues; obtaining second refraction light rays T2 by simulating calculation of a second refraction position P2 point and a normal vector N2 of a surface on which P2 is located; and performing global illumination drawing according to T2, and finishing 3D model rendering. According to the simulated refraction and global illumination-based 3D model rendering method, the method is divided into two steps in a GPU, so that a secondary refraction effect can be achieved; the method can run in general graphic hardware at present; and a current interactive technology is often limited to primary refraction.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of interactive rendering, in particular to a 3D model rendering method and system based on simulated refraction and global illumination. Background technique [0002] In many applications, interoperability is more important than realism. This makes many researchers simulate real effects in order to meet the speed requirements, and increasing the available computing power through parallel computing makes it possible to use standard ray tracing and path tracing technologies to achieve interactive realism. Overhead inhibits this parallel computation. As a result, researchers have developed hardware-enhanced shadow simulations, caustics, global illumination, reflections, and basic reflection effects. [0003] In the prior art, the limitation of the GPU-based refraction algorithm is that only one refraction effect can be calculated. However, in real scenes, it is rare for refracted light to pass through only one surface...
