Abstract

The present application provides a method and device for generating a forwarding table entry of a software-defined network (SDN), and a message forwarding method. Among them, the SDN controller generates ingress and intermediate flow entries based on the packet characteristic information of the service flow, each forwarding path and its maximum flow rate; generates an egress flow entry based on the packet characteristic information of the service flow and the forwarding port. The ingress node sends the packet carrying the traffic rate identifier on the selected path according to the ingress flow entry matched with the flow rate of the service flow and the packet characteristic information. The intermediate node on the selected path continues to send the message carrying the flow rate identifier on the selected path according to the message feature information of the message and the intermediate flow entry matched by the flow rate identifier. The egress node sends the packet with the traffic rate identifier removed according to the egress flow entry matched by the packet feature information of the service flow. Therefore, in the SDN network, according to the traffic rate of each forwarding path of the service flow, a flow entry is generated to select and forward the flow rate of the service flow.
