Abstract

The present invention discloses a three-dimensional display device and a drive method thereof. The device comprises a display panel, and a light control component arranged on the light outlet side of the display panel. The display panel is provided with a plurality of first sub-pixel columns and a plurality of second sub-pixel columns, wherein the first sub-pixel columns and the second sub-pixel columns are alternately arranged along the row direction. The first sub-pixel columns are used for displaying a left-eye view. The second sub-pixel columns are used for displaying a right-eye view. Each first sub-pixel column and each second sub-pixel column contain sub-pixels of all colors. The light control component is provided with light-transmitting stripes and light-shading stripes, wherein the light-transmitting stripes and the light-shading stripes are in the same arrangement manner with each first sub-pixel column and each second sub-pixel column so as to realize the three-dimensional display. According to the technical scheme of the invention, each first sub-pixel column and each second sub-pixel column contain sub-pixels of all colors, wherein the first sub-pixel columns are used for displaying the left-eye view and the second sub-pixel columns are used for displaying the right-eye view. Therefore, the uniformity and the fineness degree of the left-eye view and the right-eye view are improved. Furthermore, the uniformity and the fineness degree of a three-dimensionally displayed stereoscopic image are improved.
