Abstract

An embodiment of the invention provides a method for assisting in performing storage system recovery. A storage system comprises a plurality of system disks used for storing system information of the storage system, and one or more disk arrays associated with the system disks and used for managing the system disks. The method comprises the steps of determining performance deterioration degrees of the one or more disk arrays in response to the condition that one or more system disks in the system disks have faults; and in response to the condition that the performance deterioration degree of one disk array in the one or more disk arrays is a first level, setting startup information of the disk array as a first value, wherein the first value is used for indicating skip of creation of the disk array in a startup process of the storage system.
