The method comprises: building a bushing model the capacitance of which is equal to that of a bushing to be tested; performing simulation testing on the bushing model, and determining whether the bushing model is qualified; producing a qualified bushing model; processing the bushing model according to defect situations that need testing; and using the processed bushing model to carry out dielectric response property testing. The method uses the model instead of an actual oil-filled paper capacitor bushing for testing, can reduce the testing cost, avoids the problem of high economical cost caused by using a real bushing, avoids damage to the real bushing, and can ensure the accuracy of test results at the same time.
