Abstract

The invention discloses a storage system-based cold standby switching system. The system comprises a control circuit, an ORING and a first switch circuit, wherein the control circuit is used for sending a switching instruction to the ORING when a power down signal sent by a PSU is received; and the ORING is connected with the control circuit and is used for receiving the switching instruction, controlling the first switch circuit connected with a BBU to be conducted according to the switching instruction, and supplying power to a storage system through the BBU. According to the system, when the power down signal sent by the PSU is detected, the control circuit sends the switching instruction to the ORING, and the BBU is controlled to supply power to the storage system by utilizing the switching instruction, so that the PSU is rapidly switched to the BBU to supply power under the condition that the PSU voltage fails, thereby decreasing the delay and preventing the data from being lost. The invention furthermore discloses a storage system-based cold standby battery switching method which is also capable of realizing above technical effects.
