Abstract

The method and the device are applied to a dual-card dual-standby single-pass terminal. The terminal is equipped with a first SIM card and a second SIM card. The method comprises the following steps: in the timing process of a specified timer of the second SIM card, judging whether the network environment of the first SIM card changes or not; when the network environment of the first SIM card changes, setting the specified timer of the second SIM card to make the specified timer of the second SIM card enter a timeout state; and when the specified timer of the second SIM card is in a timeout state, executing a network scanning process through the second SIM card to make the second SIM card reside in a network. If the network environment of the first SIM card changes, the specified timer of the second SIM card is set to a timeout state. Thus, the period of the network scanning process through the second SIM card is shortened, and the success rate of network residing through the second SIM card is increased.
