Abstract

The invention relates to a river facies strata isochronous division method based on an elevation difference. The method comprises the following steps: 1) selecting an isochronous reference interface, 2) setting a vertical sampling interval, 3) compiling a sand top developing frequency curve down from the isochronous reference interface, 4) compiling a sand top developing frequency curve down from the isochronous reference interface, 5) compiling an isochronous stratigraphic interface identification curve, 6) determining an isochronous stratigraphic interface, and 7) dividing isochronous stratigraphic units. The method takes a high-resolution sequence stratigraphy theory as a guide and a metaphase-cycle-telophase flooding mudstone interface as the isochronous reference interface, and the isochronous stratigraphic interface identification curve is built according a sand body developing characteristic and a sand body elevation difference, so the solution multiplicity of river facies strata isochronous stratigraphic division is effectively reduced. A division scheme is adjusted according to a stratigraphic thickness and a vertical rhythm characteristic on the basis of the isochronous stratigraphic division, and a unit division result is objective and fine, so the method can be widely applied to isochronous division of river facies strata.
