The data write-in method for a distributed storage system comprises the steps that a client continuously sends request commands to a protocol layer, and the protocol layer merges the write IO requests in the received request commands, and sends the merged write IO requests to a storage resource layer; the storage resource layer processes the merged write IO requests, and issues the processed write IO requests to a physical disk. According to the data write-in method for a distributed storage system and the distributed storage system, the protocol layer merges the write IO requests in the received request commands, not for a particular single protocol, and only one operation is executed in the bottom layer process of the distributed storage system to complete a batch of operations issued by the client to the protocol layer; therefore, network interaction and time consumption of processes when write-in operations are frequent are effectively reduced, and meanwhile the merging operation is beneficial to relieving network congestion and reducing occupation of CPU resources, so that the performance of the whole distributed storage system is effectively improved.
