Abstract

The invention discloses an SDN (Software Defined Network)-based data center network flow scheduling method, which comprises the following steps that: an SDN controller in a network periodically sends a Packet Out message containing an LLDP (Link Layer Description Protocol) frame to a switch, and the switch receives the Packet Out message and feeds topological information back to the SDN controller; the SDN controller periodically analyzes and updates the topology information to obtain network topology and link state information; and based on the obtained network topology and the state information of each link, the SDN controller judges whether each link is congested or not by calculating the link bandwidth of each link for the data flow to be distributed on each link, and if not, an ECMP routing algorithm is selected for routing. If so, judging whether the type of the current to-be-distributed data stream is a long stream or a short stream, and distributing transmission paths for the long stream and the short stream respectively; and installing a corresponding flow table item for each switch in the path along the way to complete the flow scheduling of the data flow to be distributed.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of network technology, in particular to an SDN-based data center network flow scheduling method. Background technique [0002] In recent years, with the rapid development of technologies such as big data, cloud computing, and virtualization, more and more data and related applications have been converged to the data center for processing, and the traffic in the data center network has shown a rapid growth trend. And it also shows some new traffic characteristics, mainly reflected in the increase of "east-west" traffic and the decrease of "north-south" traffic in the data center network, and there are two different types of traffic, elephant flow and mouse flow. Among them, the elephant flow is generally the traffic generated by bandwidth-sensitive applications, and the amount is relatively small, but it carries most of the data volume in the network, and has high requirements for network throughput and bandwidth; whil...
